Brown Bag for Kid Street Families

*Due to a shortage of resources, we are unable to offer our Brown Bag program as of now in the 2021/22 school year.  We will notify our families when we are able to resume this great program.*

Brown Bag drive thru will be from 11:00-1:00 on Thursdays in the back parking lot. Please note that although we will be dismissing students from our hybrid learning program around this time,  no students or families will be allowed back inside the school. This is open to only students that are attending Kid Street Charter.

Any child 18 and younger can eat with us for free regardless of their meal benefit status or district. We will claim all of the meals for free. We want to encourage all children ages 18 and younger to come by to pick up a breakfast and lunch at our serving sites. There will be no need for reimbursement, tracking, or exchange of information needed. Kids show up, kids get fed, we get paid by the state at the best possible rate.

Pandemic EBT

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT benefits. P-EBT benefits help families in California buy food when schools are closed because of the coronavirus emergency.

Families will get up to $365 per eligible child on their P-EBT card to use on food and groceries.

Families with children who get CalFresh, Medi-Cal or Foster Care benefits do not need to apply. Most will get their P-EBT card in the mail during the month of May. P-EBT cards will begin arriving around May 12, 2020.

Families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals and who do not get their P-EBT card in the mail by about May 22, 2020 must apply online before June 30, 2020. The online application will be available beginning May 22, 2020 at
